IT`S ALRIGHT FOR THEM...
A very nice young man turned up this morning and set up my new computer, router and printer, so I`m now able to resume posting on my blog. "Oh, dear," I hear you sigh, but don`t worry, I have a long way to go before I reach any kind of proficiency with this new gear.
It`s all very new to me - a super-dooper, hi-tech, state-of-the-art, touch screen computer; a wireless keyboard and wireless mouse, a wireless printer, even a webcam so I can have eyeball to eyeball chats with people (don`t get excited) and the new Windows 7 operating system. It`s really quite bewildering, especially for a techno-luddite like me. But have faith, dear reader. I am determined to `get there.` Especially as I also bought a new desk which is more in keeping with all this up-to-date stuff and especially as, contrary to the 45 minute claim on the flat pack, it took Mrs. Snopper and me 2 hours 30 minutes of blood, sweat and swearing to put it together following the Swahili instructions to the letter.
It`s good to be back in business though.

Ah, 'tis good to have normality restored and after two consecutive late-night long distance drives as Dad's taxi, I'm back in my comfort zone of 10 minutes with Snopper before bed-time. Long may the new computer keep the masses entertained

Thanks, HSLOL. I`m thinking of introducing an `Agony Aunt` feature on here, so that poor put-upon unfortunates can unburden themselves to a sympathetic ear. You could be my first customer, although I should mention that certain elderly people in the vicinity are only now just recovering from being kept awake by late night frolics.

That'll be Saturday night then. I did warn Mrs S that there was a small gathering. I may have forgot to mention that small doesn't always mean quiet. And my plan of start early finish early only went half to plan. So yes, Sat, Sun and Mon were too much even for a young man like me, and tonight I walk in from work at 6.15, get dragged to the dreaded Bluewater at 6.25, returning home minutes before 10pm. I need a rest / holiday / retirement. So, Aunty Snopper, your recommended remedy would be ...?

Aunty Snopper advises:-

Pull yourself together and stop whinging, you sad Gills supporting wimp.

Hope this helps.
